'Modern Family' Season 6 Episode 12 Spoilers, Recap News: 'The Big Guns' Recap. Facebook/ Modern Family The Dunphys take on the LaFontaines on Modern Family. This week on "Modern Family," the Dunphy's neighbors, the LaFontaines, are back, and they continue to irritate Claire and Phil with their shocking ways, such as storing a boat with gambling symbols in their driveway. Meanwhile, Cameron takes Lily to clown school, and Mitchell doesn't find this funny at all. "The Big Guns" starts with Claire complaining over the neighbor's boat, which she says destroys the charm of the neighborhood.
Claire and Phil visit the LaFontaines to see if they can talk to them and persuade them to do something about the boat, but they refuse to move it. Phil puts his foot down and plans to retaliate in a big way. He calls his father and his friends, and he has them park a humongous RV in front of the LaFontaine's home. But Phil's plan blows up when he finds his father, his father's friends, and the LaFontaines all together, smoking weed in the boat.
Meanwhile, Cameron and Lily unsuccessfully tried to hide from Mitchell that they went to clown school, and when Mitchell finds out, Cam says that he wants to raise their daughter as a clown. The two make a deal with Mitchell that if he doesn't find them funny, then they will stop with the whole clown business. They put on a show, and Mitchell is unimpressed — until Lily hits Cam with a broom and Mitchell laughs uncontrollably at her antics. Inspired, Lily starts to act out and go around the house tripping Cam and punching him, much to Mitchell's amusement. Cam blames Mitchell for Lily's behavior, and when Mitchell talks to her, she says that she only did it because she doesn't like clowns and she doesn't want to go to clown school or be a clown.
She said that she was only doing it to make Cam happy. They tell Cam, and she tells him that she isn't as good as him and that she'll try again once she's grown. "Modern Family" airs on Wednesdays at 9 p. on ABC.
